Woodpecker Tours
Woodpecker Travel and Tours are based in Johannesburg, Gauteng Province of South Africa.
The owner, Philip, has extensive experience in touring world-wide. He also has first hand knowledge of the prime attractions in South Africa and will ensure that you are taken to destinations and enjoy experiences that will suit your needs perfectly!
We are available for intimate groups of up to four people. Tours can be designed for daily outings from a central location (such as your hotel, B&B) or can be designed for wider travel throughout the country. For wider travel experiences, the tour would start in Johannesburg and proceed by road to encompass the full itinerary of destinations, ending either back in Johannesburg or a major centre with a suitable airport for the group to proceed further.
Boutique Travel Service
Bookings at tourist destinations and accommodation can be made on your behalf. All costs will be invoiced on confirmation and acceptance of the recommended itinerary and will require advance payment in order for the bookings to be fixed with service providers.
In need, equipment such as binoculars, cameras (with a variety of lenses) and golf clubs are available for hire. WiFi will also be available whilst travelling, based on a daily rate for use.
Whilst we are also fully insured for liability in cases of accidents and/or injury to guests, we recommend that you take full comprehensive insurance of your own to cover all contingencies – medical/health as well as financial loss due to unforeseen circumstances.

Philip has extensive travel experience – nationally and internationally and is a SATSA Qualified tour operator and Licenced South African Tourist Guide.
